What a busy woman!

Oh my God! I'm so tired! I am a very busy woman. I wake up every single morning at 1.00 p.m. Then, I have a bath for one hour and a half. At 3.00 p.m. I have lunch with my family. I never cook because that's really stressing. At 5.00 I have a cup of tea with some cookies with my friend Geri Halliwell. Then, I go shopping with her. At 8.00 p.m. I go to the gym and finally I go to bed at 11.00 p.m. I think this weekend I'm going to stay in and rest at home.
What is Harvest Festival?

Harvest Festival is a celebration of the food grown on the land.
Thanksgiving ceremonies and celebrations for a good harvest are very old. In Britain, we have given thanks for successful harvests since pagan times. This day we sing, pray to God and decorate our churches with baskets of fruit and food in the 'Harvest Festival', usually during the month of September.
Harvest Festival reminds Christians of all the good things that God gives them. This makes them want to share with others who are not so fortunate. In schools and in Churches, people bring food from home to a Harvest Festival Service. After the service, we give that food to the poor.

What is an "emo" like?

Emo is a type of rock music and a subculture very common among teens.
Emo teens usually wear skinny jeans, sometimes in bright colours, and tight T-shirts, which often bear the names of emo bands. Belts and black wristbands are common accessories in emo fashion. They also like putting on black Converse or skate shoes, such as Vans. Some males also wear thick black glasses.
One can also recognize an emo by his or her hairstyles. Popular looks include long straight hair covering one or both eyes. Some teens dye their hair black, although bright colours, such as blue, pink or red are also typical in emo hairstyles.
People sometimes associate emo culture with sad, sensitive, shy and introverted people. Is that true or another social prejudice?

The Great Time Bank

Time Banks Weave Community One Hour at a Time
What It Is
What is Time Banking All About?
At its most basic level, Time banking is simply about spending an hour doing something for somebody in your community. That hour goes into the Time Bank as a Time Dollar. Then you have a Time dollar to spend on having someone doing something for you. It's a simple idea, but it has powerful ripple effects in building community connections.
Each Time Bank has a website where you list what you would like to do for other members. You look up Time Bank services online or call a community coordinator to do it for you. You earn Time Dollars after each service you perform and then you get to spend it on whatever you want from the listings.
With Time Banking, you will be working with a small group of committed individuals who are joined together for a common good. It connects you to the best in people because it creates a system that connects unmet needs with untapped resources. To see what happens each week when you are part of Time Bank is deeply fulfilling, especially if you are helping to make it run.

Social and labour market situation of women in Spain
Since 1994 the employment situation of women in Spain has improved considerably. In particular, the salary gap between the genders has remained stable over the 10-year period. However, recent research indicates that women are still more likely than men to be working under temporary contracts. Moreover, recently implemented measures aimed at achieving a work-life balance are regarded as insufficient.
In December 2003, the Spanish Economic and Social Council (Consejo Económico y Social) - CES - published their second report on the situation of women at work and in society. This report includes new issues, such as reconciling work and family life, immigration, single-parent families, dependency problems and the ageing population. Two of its eight chapters focus on working conditions.
According to the report’s findings, the proportion of Spanish women engaged in temporary employment (34.1%) was still greater than for men (29%) in 2002 (Spanish National Statistical Institute), This gap has narrowed somewhat since 1992, when it was 39% and 30.7%, respectively.
